Terms of Use
These terms apply when you use Pastor Z's iOS, Android, or browser applications. By creating an account or using Pastor Z, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Who may use Pastor Z
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these terms to create an account or use generated answers. If you are under 18, you may use only available non-generated features with a parent or guardian's supervision and agreement, and you must not create an account or submit personal information. Keep your sign-in credentials secure, provide accurate account information, and tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. One person may not use multiple accounts to evade service safeguards.
Free, capacity-limited service
Pastor Z is free. There are no subscriptions, paid tiers, or user-purchased usage credits. Answers may be limited so the service can stay available. Scripture and saved work stay available if answers pause. Limits may change as operating conditions change. Reaching a limit never creates an upgrade offer.
A study companion, not professional care
Pastor Z provides educational and spiritual study material. It is not a church, pastor-client relationship, confidential counseling service, emergency service, or substitute for qualified pastoral, medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safeguarding, or other professional help. Do not use it to diagnose, prescribe, make emergency decisions, or determine legal obligations. If someone may be in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or an appropriate crisis resource.
AI answers can be wrong
Generated answers may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, biased, or fabricated even when references are shown. Check quoted Scripture and source links, read passages in context, and use human judgment. You are responsible for decisions you make based on the service.
Your input and Pastor Z output
You retain any rights you have in questions, notes, and other material you submit. You give Pastor Z permission to process that material only as needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and support the service as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to submit it. Subject to rights in Scripture, sources, provider technology, and similar output supplied to others, you may use generated answers for lawful personal purposes. Do not present AI output as verified professional advice or knowingly use it to deceive or harm others.
Sources and intellectual property
Pastor Z software, branding, interface, and original content are protected by applicable law. Bible translations and research sources keep their own rights status, licenses, attribution, and use conditions. A citation or link does not transfer ownership of third-party material. Report a suspected rights problem to support@pastorz.dev with the specific content and location.
Acceptable use
Do not use Pastor Z to break the law or violate another person's rights; threaten, exploit, harass, or facilitate abuse; submit malware or attack the service; scrape or resell the service or its outputs at scale; reverse engineer access controls; probe for credentials; impersonate another person; automate account creation; or bypass sign-in, usage limits, or source restrictions. Security research requires written authorization before testing.
Third-party services
Pastor Z depends on third-party hosting, authentication, AI, search, and content services. Their availability and terms can affect Pastor Z. Links to other sites are provided for reference; Pastor Z does not control or endorse everything on those sites.
Changes, suspension, and termination
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features to protect users, comply with law or provider terms, manage capacity, or improve the product. We may restrict or close accounts that materially violate these terms or threaten the service. You may stop using Pastor Z at any time and may delete your account in Settings.
Service disclaimer
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pastor Z is provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that it will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pastor Z and its contributors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on generated content. Some jurisdictions do not allow particular exclusions, so those exclusions apply only where lawful.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Pastor Z changes. The effective date will be updated here, and material changes will be called out in the app when practical. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
